This Day in AI Brand
www.theverge.com
- Google's Gemini assistant, previously known as Bard, is an AI chatbot designed to replace the standard Google Assistant, offering more complex interactions like summarizing emails, drafting messages, and integrating with Google services like Gmail, Maps, and Docs.
- While Gemini impresses with its ability to perform tasks that simplify digital chores, it struggles with understanding context and providing concise, relevant responses, often resembling a verbose page of Google search results rather than a conversational partner.
- Despite its limitations, Gemini represents a step forward in AI assistance by offering features like direct export to Google Docs or Gmail and the potential to replace Google Assistant as the default, highlighting the ongoing evolution and challenges in the development of smart assistants.

it says gemini cannot access calendar. I suppose google assistant - (?) never used it - can. ANother dumb question: do your questions to gemini somehow get stored in google cloud? Anyway, don't think i need more google. multion, for example, is very capable at making calendar entries (if I need an agent that I wil let have that kind of control;-)
